GAME OVERVIEW
Imagine being stuck in the Amazon jungle, like, completely alone and freaked out. You gotta learn real survival stuff, like making tools, hunting and fighting off dangers just to survive. Oh, and don’t forget to check yourself for injuries in this mode where you like, inspect your wounds, and try not to lose them mentally. You can either build a tiny shelter or go all out and make a huge fortress to keep the crazy stuff out. You can do all this solo or try to survive with your friends.
The whole story is about this guy, Jake Higgins, an anthropologist who is stranded in the jungle, searching for his wife, Mia who disappeared while doing research. The campaign is, like, over 25 hours of creepy survival stuff, guilt, and a whole lot of mind games. It gets dark as Jake uncovers messed-up secrets about his past and some seriously shady things going on in the jungle.
There’s this other prequel thing called Spirits of Amazonia that gives you more than 20 hours of gameplay too! It shows you everything that led up to the main story, so you can dig deeper into the jungle’s mystery. RATSHAKER™
If you just wanna focus on surviving without all the story, you can jump into Endless Mode and try not to die in the brutal Amazonian wilderness. Other than that, the game got tons of updates after launch, adding all kinds of cool stuff to make it even crazier.
You can build your dream jungle base using everything the jungle gives you—wood, bamboo, stones, mud, whatever you find. You can make a chill shelter, a fancy multi-level mansion, or even a treehouse if you’re feeling bold. And yeah, you can decorate it and make it your own. Just watch out—there are enemies everywhere trying to mess up your day, or you can challenge them in the Flamekeeper Challenge.
And do not forget the animals. Capybaras, tapirs, armadillos, and more. They’re not all dangerous, some of them are cute, and you can even tame and pet them if you’re careful. The jungle is full of both deadly predators and adorable creatures. You can even use the jungle’s resources—honey, feathers, insects, everything—to survive or help your animals. It’s like a weird, wild farming thing, and you have to become one with the jungle if you want to live.
