GAME OVERVIEW

You’re part of this creepy group called the Liminal Layer Society or something. They’re a bunch of spellcasters who, like, try to protect the world from these scary creatures that come out of the Void. So, yeah, you go into this crazy place called the “Liminal Layer,” which is, like, a bridge between reality and… whatever the Void is.

But, uh, here’s the thing… you will die. A lot. I mean, it’s, like, guaranteed. But death is kinda part of the deal. It’s, like, a way to progress or something? And each time you die, you get closer to the Void Gods, which is… terrifying because those are the ones you’re supposed to defeat.

You can pick one of four characters to play as, and each one has different spells and ways to fight. But, uh, it’s gonna get dark, confusing, and chaotic. Trust me, it’s not gonna be pretty. Evil Holiday

So, you’ll need these things called Sigils to fight the Void Gods and to open portals to go deeper into the layers. You basically use them for spells and for, like, surviving each layer. But, if you die (which you will), it’s like… random where you end up next, and you lose the chance to gather more Sigils. So, yeah, that is a thing.

And then there are these horrible creatures called Liminal Entities. They can kill you if they even touch you. But, if you kill them first, you can grab their souls and use them to cast more spells. But be careful—doing that gives you more time on your death counter, which means, um, you get more chances to survive and grab more Sigils, but, like, you’re still on the clock.

You can either fight these things off or just, you know, grab their souls before they can touch you. Spells are, like, your only way to fight back, and there are all sorts of different types, depending on the enemy, but stronger spells need more Sigils to use.

If you somehow make it to Layer 444… well, it could go one of two ways. Either you just, like, die a bunch and end up there with no Sigils and get wrecked by the Void Gods OR you try and stockpile Sigils so you can, like, spam spells at the Void Gods, but—spoiler—they have way too much health. It is gonna be a long fight, so you’d better be ready.
